This is my first post of PAZ’ TOP 5 SONGS OF THE WEEK! Here you can see the 5 songs I’ve played the most in the span time of 7 days. It can range from a hella old song or new song, pop or soul, and upbeat or slow ballad. And just for your information, my taste is FLAWLESS so you can use it for your music reference. I really hope that I can continue posting it weekly (I highly doubt it, though). Anyway, here it is!
5. Wynter Gordon - Til Death
Actually I don’t really like the original version of this song. However, the Denzel Park remix is much much much better and shits all over the dance floor! I will definitely go crazy once the remix version is being played on the club! But here I show you the original version cause I think this original version needs its own recognition. :)
Favorite line: Let’s get loud as we celebrate life / Til death do we party, with the music I die
4. Robyn - Indestructible
I really love the melody and Robyn’s voice in this song! I think that the production is slightly weak, though. But imo, the thing that makes this pop-dance ballad so special is the lyric! Robyn brilliantly tells us about someone who failed in previous love but then promises to love perfectly despite the pain that was created before.
Favorite line: I’m gonna love you like I’ve never been hurt before / I’m gonna love you like I’m indestructible
3. Cher - You Haven’t Seen The Last of Me
Our Goddess of Pop once again brings the house down by this power ballad. This is just so amazing to discover how this 60+ year-old diva’s voice is still so great, even greater than most of pop singers nowadays. This song really proves the longetivity and relevance of Cher as a living legend. Well gurls, bow down to the GODDESS!
Favorite line: I’ve been brought down to my knees / And I’ve been pushed way past the point of breaking / But I can take it
2. Nicki Minaj - Pound The Alarm
This song is FIYAAAHHH!!! I love Nicki Minaj. Her lines sometimes are messy and all nonsense but I really really love the way she rapping and singing (just so you know, at first I loathe her singing lol). This song is a pop perfection and the beat is just SICK as phuck! And for the record, Pound The Alarm is MUCH better than Starships. Nuff said!
Favorite Line: Ok bottle, sip, bottle, guzzle / I’m a bad b*tch, no muzzle, hey? / Bottle, sip, bottle, guzzle / I’m a bad b*tch, no muzzle, let’s go!
1. Beyonce - Dance For You
This is my jam! Her voice here is so sensual and I like it. But really, from the production, the voice, the lyric, the melody, the video, the choreography, everything is just great! I don’t really understand why some people dislike it. I mean, it’s one of Bey’s greatest songs ever to me! Absolute 10.
Favorite line: You’ll never need 2, cuz I will be your number 1 / Them other chicks are superficial / But I know you know I’m the one
I GOT REPLIED
BY SOMEONE I LIKE
RIGHT THERE ACROSS THE OCEAN
I TRIED TO TALK TO
AND I GOT REPLIED
I GOT REPLIED
I FEEL LIKE FLYING
TOUCHING THE WHITE CLOUDS
BUT NOW I REALISE
IT’S JUST A SIMPLE THING
NO NEED TO FEEL ECSTATIC
I GOT REPLIED!
I GOT REPLIED!
to be a singer, preferably a pop-dance singer.
I just love the whole idea of pop culture and I really want to make some great head-banging, hip-swaying, dancefloor-burning records that will slay every single thirsty human’s soul. LOL seems like I dream too big. Yes, but I mean it.
Perhaps It’s too late for me to start growing my musical sense now. But I more believe that it’s better late than never. I can’t play instruments, and it’s being the biggest obstacle for me. I can’t write a good lyric in english too (english is my second language). But I promise myself that I will work my ass off to get better and better, especially in writing.
I wish I would find the way, somehow. Till now, I don’t know any DJ or at least anyone who can play instruments well. I want to upload my cover to youtube but… I don’t have camera to record it. Oh well…………
But I really wish I could see my own records on the chart someday…. and now I have to keep on making myself believe that I’m great enough to be a singer. Yes, I can!
